Buenos Aires Tennis

2 more matches to talk about in Buenos Aires with Spaniards David Ferrer and Albert Ramos favourites to progress from their respective matches. Ferrer is a heavy favourite in his game with unheralded Argentine Facundo Bagnis. Bagnis has yet to win a tour match and playing an in-form David Ferrer doesn't suggest his luck is going to change. Ferrer only dropped one game when beating Andres Molteni yesterday and looks a strong contender to win out the tournament and with no disrespect intended Bagnis will be lucky if he gets more than Molteni did. Ferrer's consistency and determination will be too much for the Argentine and Bagnis just doesnt have the weapons to hit through Ferrer. This one wont last long and Ferrer will certainly be the victor. Albert Ramos is a 2/7 favourite with bookmakers to beat Fernando Gonzalez but it wont be as simple as that. Gonzalez is playing in his last few tournaments after announcing he is to retire next month. Gonzalez has been dogged by injuries in the last few years and is a mere shadow of the player he once was. A fit Gonzalez would certainly fancy his chances against Ramos but he has played such little tennis lately its unlikely he will be near his best. Gonzo will have a chance of victory however, his determination to go out with a bang will give him a boost and he could potentially beat Ramos although its unlikely he will go much further in the tournament. Its a tough one to call, my heart says Gonzalez but my head says Ramos. Im gonna pick Ramos in 3 sets.
